A Friendly Church

When you first enter the building someone may come up to you and give you a friendly greeting. You will also see people embrace one another.  This is a scriptural expression of brotherly love, and is done in all purity.

A Church Of Praise And Worship

We believe that God created music to be an expression of love & joy.  Psalm 100:2 says, "Come before His (God's) presence with singing."  As we sing songs of praise and thanksgiving, our hearts and hands are lifted in worship to the Lord.  The lifting of hands is also a sign of yielding one's life to the Lord.(Psalm 134:2)

We incorporate both traditional hymns and contemporary choruses into our praise and worship service.  This means we not only have a holy, reverent time of singing and worship, but we also clap our hands and dance before the Lord.  (Psalm 47:1 and 2 Samuel 6:14)

Our Praise and Worship Service is not only a time of singing, but also a time of verbal praise unto the Lord.  "His praise shall continually be in my mouth" (Psalm 34:1).  Sometimes that means shouting praises or giving God a clap offering.  (Psalm 100)

Worship is a very intimate and reverent expression of love to God for who He is.  The Psalmist said, "Come let us worship and bow down" (Psalm 95:6).

All true worship originates is a person's spirit.  (John 4:24 and Philippians 3:3)

We Speak In Tongues

Top

When Jesus returned to heaven, He poured out the Holy Spirit and gave believers the ability to speak in tongues.  Tongues is a sign of the believer (Mark 16:17).  It is also given as a means to encourage oneself in the Lord.  If spoken to the whole church as a message, there should be 2 or 3 followed by an interpretation.  (I Corinthians 14:4,5,12,27,28)

We Have Spontaneous Utterances

Prophecy and tongues and interpretation are the most common.  Others include, word of knowledge and word of wisdom.  These messages are prompted by the Holy Spirit and are for encouragement and comfort.  (I Corinthians 12 & 14)

We Pray In Unison

Top

At certain times the whole church will pray in audible unison for specific needs.  The Bible says that one shall put a thousand to flight and two shall put ten thousand to flight.  (Dueteronomy 32:30 & Matthew 18:19)

"And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, Thou art God, which has made heaven and earth.  (Acts 4:24 & Mark 11:23)

Fundamental Truths

Top

1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God.  It is the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason.

2. We believe that the only way to salvation is through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.  That we are not saved by works or good deeds, but by the the grace of God through faith.  (Titus 2:11& 3:5,7; Romans 8:15-16; Luke 24:45)

3. We believe in baptism by water and the Holy Spirit.  Water baptism signifies a death to our old life and that we have been raised with Him to newness of life.  (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:45, 48; Romans 6:4)

4. Baptism in the Holy Spirit is evidenced by speaking in tongues (prayer language).  Our prayer language is our personal communication to the Father.  (Acts 2:4; 10:44, 46; 1:8; 2:42, 43) By the power of the Holy Spirit in us, we should endeavor to pursue a life of holiness pleasing unto the Lord by walking in obedience to God's Word.

5. Divine healing and deliverances are provisions of God and a privilege for the believer.  (Mark 16:18; John 5:14; Matthew 8:16,17)

6. The church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of the great commission.  Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the general assembly- (Ephesians 1:22; 2:19, 22-1 Hebrews 12:23)

Our Vision

Top

To reach Lake Havasu for the Lord Jesus Christ; to heal hurts, build dreams and bring salvation to everyone.

God has given us a sure word that we are to be a healing center for the whole man, and that one day people would even arrive by ambulance to experience God's power upon His body of believers.

Missions

Top

We are a church that strongly believes in missions.  We support missionaries all over the world by giving a large percent of our income to missions.

We also support missions with hands on experiences.  By going to the countries we support and ministering along side them, conducting leadership training, and working side by side with them in the field.

We are excited to be part of the Great Commission.  Sowing the seeds of life and salvation into people we may never have the opportunity to meet, in places we may never get to see.
